My immediate short-term plan upon returning home will be working for a national investment bank. This experience of working in the investment field will allow me to: First, apply what I have learned in my master’s program, and use my current working experience as a credit analyst to best serve my country in this field. Secondly, it will allow me to use the knowledge I acquired to provide financial advice to the massive investment companies in my country, regarding the best modalities to finance and direct their businesses. This will be aimed at addressing their needs according to the Egyptian economy. As one of the top contributors to reviving the Egyptian economy, UK investors will be the first ones involved in this process, especially considering that they are expected to invest in the Egyptian economy during the upcoming period.

Moreover, such an opportunity will be the first and most crucial step towards achieving my short-term career goal of being a chartered financial analyst. Within the initial five years upon my return, I will apply for the CFA level one exam in December 2020. Subsequently, I will work hard towards passing my CFA level two and three. I am confident that being a chartered financial analyst, I will have the potential to engage with a wide range of international organizations like the International Finance Corporation to further assist foreign investors in improving and implementing their investment plans in Egypt as stipulated above.

On the long-term, I aspire to be a member of a financial committee that provides our national ministries of investment and international cooperation with policy advice and recommendations for promoting and directing private investments towards the most needed segments of the society. Additionally, creating an attractive investment environment for both local and foreign investors will be necessary. This will help improve the economic conditions, as well as reduce unemployment and poverty rates. Other than that, I will seek a tutoring opportunity in an educational institute like the Egyptian Banking Institute. By doing so, I will be able to transfer my skills and knowledge in the finance field to future credit analyst in the area of business.
